Let Go of That Grudge
July 21, 20167 Ways to Enhance the Intimacy in Your Life!
February 9, 2017September was National Recovery Month and for the entire month we talked about addiction and recovery in my month-long Facebook Live Addiction series. I appreciate the questions, likes and shares from viewers like you.
The real problem is that an addict has an inner wound of defectiveness created in childhood. Addicts distortedly believe the addiction serves as a way to make that pain go away. The common problems they face are from unhealed childhood wounds that have remained buried and eventually come back to haunt them.
Only when they permit the window into their past to be opened, exposing the negative core beliefs attributed to negative childhood messages, can addicts begin to heal. Without addressing the pain created by the wound, nothing will have a long-term and lasting effect.
If you missed any part of the series, you can watch them all at your leisure on Facebook.
